Primordial types are adept at affecting the environment around them, and all are capable of overtaking their surroundings under certain conditions. A Primordial typed object will naturally spread its type to objects around it that are weak to its type. Primordial typed Moves that affect the Field spread their typing to any objects that do not resist it.
Creatures with a Primordial type as its Primary type gains PP through means mentioned below, but these means may be accelerated through consistent rituals. A colony of Fairies might dance together during certain lunar phases, while a Dragon might collect and admire trophies. These rituals are typically an Extended Action (S) that can be done once per day, require special conditions to complete and heal 1 Injury upon completion, while also renewing the frequency of all relevantly typed Moves and making them 1 Tier stronger for 24 hours.
Bug
- The Bug type derives its power through being around creatures it has at least Loyalty 2 towards, or by engaging with other Bug-types. Bug energy is abnormally adaptable, typically replicating minor effects of other types when in far-flung conditions such as great heat or cold. Bug-type objects grow more resilient when closer to different Bug-type objects, gaining +50% HP per Tier of the object, and vice versa. When close to a Tier 4 Bug-type object, they become Hardened on top of this HP boost.
Physical Example: Webbing, cocoons, dirt that’s been mixed with Bug saliva/dung Special Example: Bug pollen/light/noise
Attacks: Physical attacks involve emulating the hunting styles of predatory insects closely enough to generate Bug energy. Special attacks involve imbuing a body part with Bug energy and using it to emulate the defensive techniques of most prey insects.
Type Interactions:
- Dark: Bug-type objects are incapable of being withered away by Dark-type effects of an equal or lower Tier. Those that are have the Bug-type replaced with the Dark-type once withered.
- Dragon: Dragon energy overwhelms Bug objects that are Tier 2 or below, reverting them to their previous state or the Dragon-type, depending on the decision of whomever is the energy source. Bug objects that are Tier 3 or higher actively fight back against Dragon energy of all tiers, taking it over and turning it into the Bug-type.
- Fairy: Bug-type objects are incapable of being mutated by Fairy-type effects of an equal or lower Tier. Those that are have the Bug-type replaced with the Fairy-type once mutated.
Dark
- The Dark type derives its power through causing substantial negative emotions in other creatures – this power is generated through the act that caused the emotional shift; Dark-type Pokemon do not ‘feed’ on fear, as Ghost-types do. If a Dark-type creature has renewed its power within the past hour, its Dark-type effects are 1 Tier higher. This cannot happen more than once per day.
Physical Example: “Evil” objects have Dark as their secondary type
Special Example: A wall of hate, pure shadow
Attacks: Physical attacks involve fighting in an especially underhanded or “dirty” manner. Special attacks involve harnessing negative emotions to blast a target with malicious energy.
Type Interactions:
- Bug: Bug-type objects are incapable of being withered away by Dark-type effects of an equal or lower Tier. Those that are have the Bug-type replaced with the Dark-type once withered.
- Dragon: Dark-type energy taints Dragon-type objects, causing them to wither away. Tier 1 Dark-type effects do this in a matter of days, Tier 2 effects in a matter of hours, Tier 3 effects in a matter of minutes, and Tier 4 effects in a matter of seconds. Objects withered away in this manner are Weakened and have the Dragon-type replaced with the Dark-type.
- Fairy: Fairy-type attacks are doubly super-effective against Dark-type objects that are of an equal or lower Tier. Exposure to Fairy-type energy can obliterate Dark-type effects. Tier 1 Fairy-type effects do this in a matter of days, Tier 2 effects in a matter of hours, Tier 3 effects in a matter of minutes, and Tier 4 effects in a matter of seconds.
Dragon
- The Dragon type derives its power through feeling deep and powerful emotions. The more extreme a creature feels, the more Dragon energy it is capable of wielding – this can apply to both violent and calm moods. For every Volatile status a Dragon-type creature is suffering, its Dragon-type effects are 1 Tier higher.
Physical Example: Draconic body parts, terrain imbued with Dragon energy Special Example: A wall of pure rage, a field of serenity, translocational/transtemporal portals
Attacks: Physical attacks involve emulating the reckless styles of dragons closely enough to generate Dragon energy. Special attacks involve harnessing one’s emotions to blast a target with Dragon energy.
Type Interactions:
- Bug: Dragon energy overwhelms Bug objects that are Tier 2 or below, reverting them to their previous state or the Dragon-type, depending on the decision of whomever is the energy source. Bug objects that are Tier 3 or higher actively fight back against Dragon energy of all tiers, taking it over and turning it into the Bug-type.
- Dark: Dark-type energy taints Dragon-type objects, causing them to wither away.
- Fairy: Fairy-type energy mutates Dragon-type objects, causing them to become fey and otherworldly. Tier 1 Fairy-type effects do this in a matter of days, Tier 2 effects in a matter of hours, Tier 3 effects in a matter of minutes, and Tier 4 effects in a matter of seconds. Objects mutated in this manner are Hardened and have the Dragon-type replaced with the Fairy-type.
Fairy
- The Fairy type derives its power through inspiring significant positive emotions in other creatures – this power is generated through the act that caused the emotional shift; Fairy-type Pokemon do not ‘feed’ on happiness. If a Fairy-type creature has renewed its power within the past hour, its Fairy-type effects are 1 Tier higher. This cannot happen more than once per day.
Physical Example: “Good” objects have Fairy as their secondary type
Special Example: A wall of fey energy, fairy wind
Attacks: Physical attacks involve fighting in an especially “playful” manner. Special attacks involve harnessing positive emotions to blast a target with spiritual energy.
Type Interactions:
- Bug: Bug-type objects are incapable of being mutated by Fairy-type effects of an equal or lower Tier. Those that are have the Bug-type replaced with the Fairy-type once mutated.
- Dark: Fairy-type attacks are doubly super-effective against Dark-type objects that are of an equal or lower Tier.
- Dragon: Fairy-type energy mutates Dragon-type objects, causing them to become fey and otherworldly.
Note: Consolidate into Aura types?
