Only creatures or objects that have a ‘soul’ are capable of wielding Aura. This typically excludes the vast majority of objects and creatures with the Soulless capability like Shedinja.
Creatures with an Aura type as its Primary type regains PP through consuming food. A Fighting-type pokemon would simply need to eat meat, while a Ghost-type pokemon might need to feed on another’s emotions and a Psychic-type pokemon would eat dreams, memories… or just berries. Creatures that truly do not need to eat anything at all always have access to their Aura energies. Aura-typed creatures can ‘push’ Moves they have STAB with by becoming hungry – if they do not consume a full amount of food within 30 minutes, they take 1 Body Damage. ‘Pushed’ Moves are 1 Tier higher and deal
+X extra damage, where
+X is the double the new Tier of the Move.
Fighting
- The Fighting type consists of using one’s life energy (Aura) to massively empower their physical capabilities, pushing themselves to their limits. This is known as ‘positive’ life energy, due to its beneficial effects on living creatures.
Physical Example: A solid object overflowing with Aura energy
Special Example: A wall of pure Aura, ‘positive’ life energy
Attacks: Physical attacks involve empowering a body part with Aura for devastating blows and massive force. Special attacks involve blasting a target with pure Aura.
Type Interactions:
- Ghost: Fighting energy and Ghost energy cancel each other out upon contact, causing a violent explosion that is equal in radius to the sum radius of each energy type, with a DB equal to the diameter in meters. This damage is Typeless.
- Psychic: It is difficult for Fighting energy to destroy Psychic energy, but it is easily capable of physically manipulating it. For example, covering one’s hands in Fighting energy would allow a creature to directly touch and manipulate Psychic energy, although it would still resist Fighting damage. A creature completely covered by Fighting energy would be ‘shielded’ from Psychic Field effects such as heavier or lighter gravity.
Ghost
- The Ghost type consists of tapping into one’s Aura beyond what mortal bodies are capable of handling. Unbound by physics, Ghost energy is capable of doing almost anything, provided the source of energy is within close range of the effect. This is known as ‘negative’ life energy due to its deleterious effects on living creatures. Any object with the Cursed status condition gains the Ghost-type.
Physical Example: A cursed object, such as a doll or tree
Special Example: A wall of ghosts, ‘negative’ life energy
Attacks: Physical attacks involve imbuing a body part with Ghost energy to cause violent reactions in those they touch, or grasping darkness to harness it. Special attacks involve harnessing ‘negative’ life energy to harm or suck the Aura from a target.
Type Interactions:
- Fighting: Fighting energy and Ghost energy cancel each other out upon contact, causing a violent explosion that is equal in radius to the sum radius of each energy type, with a DB equal to the diameter in meters. This damage is Typeless.
- Psychic: Ghost-type energy that comes into contact with a source of Psychic energy taints it, slowly causing the source to have the Psychic-type replaced with the Ghost-type. Tier 1 effects cause this to happen over months, Tier 2 effects over weeks, Tier 3 effects over days, and Tier 4 effects over minutes. The source continues to function as it did before for as long as it was originally able to, but its effects can now be ignored by Ghost-type creatures.
Psychic
- The Psychic type consists of using one’s Aura to enact their will upon the environment using mental energy. Psychic energy can replicate many effects for quite a long time, even without a source of energy nearby – but these effects cannot break physics. This is known as “neutral” life energy, because it is only inherently capable of affecting the environment.
Physical Example: An object being manipulated by Psychic energy gains the Psychic type temporarily.
Special Example: Manipulated gravity, Psychic residue, psychic barriers, transdimensional portals
Attacks: Physical attacks involve covering objects or body parts in Psychic energy and striking foes with them. Special attacks involve directly striking the opponent with Psychic energy or manipulating physics to their very limits.
Type Interactions:
- Fighting: It is difficult for Fighting energy to destroy Psychic energy, but it is easily capable of physically manipulating it. For example, covering one’s hands in Fighting energy would allow a creature to directly touch and manipulate Psychic energy, although it would still resist Fighting damage. A creature completely covered by Fighting energy would be ‘shielded’ from Psychic Field effects such as heavier or lighter gravity.
- Ghost: Ghost-type energy that comes into contact with a source of Psychic energy taints it, slowly causing the source to have the Psychic-type replaced with the Ghost-type. Tier 1 effects cause this to happen over months, Tier 2 effects over weeks, Tier 3 effects over days, and Tier 4 effects over minutes. The source continues to function as it did before for as long as it was originally able to, but its effects can now be ignored by Ghost-type creatures
